The Loxton Leggings are fast to sew and easy to wear. You can make them full length or in a bike short view.
They feature a side panel with phone pocket and a quick and easy elastic waist so you can fill your wardrobe with this staple. Wear them to work out, run errands, lounge, or style your best athleisure look. They have a high waist for full coverage and can be constructed on a regular domestic sewing machine (no serger required!).

This pattern is suitable for sewing on a home sewing machine and doesn't require a serger/overlocker.

We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Loxton region, the Erawirung people, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

Sizes Available:

Sizes A-M (see size chart in images)

41.5-71.5" (105-182cm) Hip

Compare your waist and hip measurement to the size chart above to select your base size. If your waist is two or more sizes smaller than your hip, you may want to blend between sizes.

The leggings have a significant amount of negative ease (the finished measurements will be a lot smaller than your body measurements). Also, the sizing can be drastically affected by the amount of stretch and recovery your fabric has. A firm athletic knit may fit more tightly than fabric you select for a pair of leggings that you intend to layer under other garments.

As with any garment, we recommend making a toile/muslin out of inexpensive material before cutting into your fashion fabric. This is especially important for undies because everyone’s body and undies preferences are different!

If our sizes are too small to include you, we will grade our patterns up for you. Please get in touch with us here.

We often get asked what height our patterns are drafted for

We don’t note this on our patterns because the body’s proportions can make an overall height very misleading. For example, you might technically be the “same height” as the draft, but you might have proportionally longer legs. In that case, a pants pattern may be very short for you. We do not subscribe to the notion of “normal bodies” and that is why we provide finished garment measurements instead of drafting height.

For all patterns (not just ours!), we always recommend comparing the finished measurements (and measurements taken from the pattern itself) to your body. Use the shorten/lengthen lines to adjust as necessary.

Suggested Fabric:

This pattern is designed to be sewn with bottomweight knit fabrics with good recovery and, 4-way stretch. We suggest athletic knits with spandex, cotton/spandex jersey, other bottomweight spandex-blend knits. These are often called “technical knits/jersey”.

If you are wearing the leggings exclusively layered under other pieces, you can choose another fabric with spandex (4 way stretch, good recovery), but be aware that they may not be fully opaque when wearing.
