We popped our Breve Bag online for $2 a couple of months ago with the plan that the "proceeds" from the sale will go towards a different charity every two months.
Up until 31st August, we sold 51 Breve Bags and we donated $102 USD ($162.57NZD) to Tjanpi Desert Weavers. You can make your own donation to them here, or check out their online shop (I especially love this tote).
I put "proceeds" because we actually made up the difference for the amount lost in fees for each transaction. For every transaction on our website, either Shopify or Paypal takes a set fee (usually somewhere around the $.30 cent mark), and a percentage depending on the payment method (usually around the 2.5% mark). We cover that amount lost to PayPal and Shopify.
Proceeds from the Breve Bag until 31st October will go to Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantatjara Yankunytjatjara Women's Council. To see what they do, or to make your own donation, you can visit their site here.
