Waikerie Dress Expansion Sewing Pattern PDF

The Waikerie [pronounced like bakery] Dress Extension pack provides pattern pieces and instructions to transform your Waikerie Shirt pattern in to at least three different dresses.

View A features a cropped, boxy bodice with a back yoke and generously gathered skirt. View B and View C feature an inverted box pleat at the back and a high-low hem. View B featured mitered side split, while View C has a classic shirt tail hem. All views feature a dropped shoulder, forward yoke seam, unique pocket and can be sewn with the short-sleeve or long-sleeve options using our unique sleeve band application.

The Waikerie Dress is designed with an oversized fit and no bust dart, the shirt will work as-is on a variety of bodies, regardless of cup size and is designed with a 4" difference between the full and upper bust. As always, we do recommend toiling the pattern before cutting in to your 'good' fabric.

 Cup sizes
Where cup sizes have not been stated it's because the pattern is dart-free and has been designed to be 'cup-size flexible'. If you're unsure about what size to use, you can always email your measurements to help@munaandbroad.com for specific sizing advice.

Fit Expectations: This shirt is designed to have a large amount of design ease. The yoke is designed to sit in front of the top of your shoulder.

Muna and Broad patterns are designed with large bodies in mind and we’ve ensured there’s room for you. Because of this, there’s no need to “size up”.

Suggested Fabric:

This pattern is designed for use with a variety of woven fabrics. Linen, Cotton, Rayon, Silk, Tencel, and Viscose fabrics would be perfect.

As with most garment sewing, we do not recommend the use of quilting cottons.

If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above. Ensure your fabric is washed and pre-shrunk before cutting.
