The Myrtle Hood is a loose fitting hood/scarf combination that’s equally cozy and stylish and won’t crush your hair.

It can be sewn as either a single layer or in a double layer for more warmth. The thin scarf ends can be wrapped around the neck several times for added security and warmth. It can be sewn up in a cozy sweater knit or even in stretch mesh for warmer weather for maximum cool.

This pattern can be sewn using a domestic machine (only) or with a serger/overlocker

Difficulty 1/5

Suggested Fabric:

This pattern is designed to be sewn in a variety of 2- or 4-way stretch knit fabrics. The amount of stretch is not important as the hood is size flexible. Try it in a sweater knit, merino jersey, cotton jersey, modal jersey, french terry, lightweight fleece, or stretch mesh
