Eileen Barrel Pants Sewing Pattern PDF

The Eileen Barrel Pants are a quick-to-sew elastic waist pant with a slight barrel leg shape. The pants hit around the ankle and feature back and front patch pockets, a faux-fly, and a dropped crotch. The relaxed silhouette is loose through the hip and thigh, with back darts reducing waist bulk. The Eileen is perfect sewn up in a mid weight fabric to show off the leg shaping.

Suggested Fabric:

This pattern is designed for use with a variety of medium-medium/heavy weight woven fabrics.

Cotton twill/drill, lightweight denim, lightweight canvas, heavyweight linen, are all suitable for this pattern. Very thick or heavyweight fabrics are not a good choice for this pattern due to the elastic waistband.

• 2.2m/2.4yds(150cm/60” wide)
• 2.7m/3yds(115cm/45” wide)

Sizes G-M
• 2.5m/2.8yds(150cm/60” wide)
• 4m/4.4yds(115cm/45” wide)

Notions:

• 1.25” (32mm) wide. ribbed non-roll waistband elastic (to fit waist)
• 24” (60cm), 1/4” (6mm) fine cotton tape (sometimes called hanger tape or substitute very thin/lightweight twill tape)
• Matching thread

If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above.

Ensure your fabric is washed and pre-shrunk before cutting.
