Hexham Dress Sewing Pattern PDF

The Hexham Dress is a versatile knit dress designed to hit below the knee. View A is a fuller silhouette that is the perfect balance between relaxed and flared. View B is a subtle cocoon dress to add some interest to your wardrobe. Both views can sewn with an open crew or turtleneck and a short, three-quarter, or full length fitted sleeve. We have designed the neckband and turtleneck to be a no-fuss application. The Hexham Dress can be sewn on a serger/overlocker or entirely on a regular domestic sewing machine

Cup sizes
Where cup sizes have not been stated it's because the pattern is dart-free and has been designed to be 'cup-size flexible'. If you're unsure about what size to use, you can always email your measurements to help@munaandbroad.com for specific sizing advice.

Selecting your size: This pattern has some negative ease, especially in the sleeves. If your measurements span several sizes, we suggest blending between size cut lines (this is sometimes called “grading between sizes”).

Please read Page 5 in our instruction booklet prior to selecting your size.

Alterations in length can be easily made by shortening or lengthening at the hem.

It is always recommended to sew a toile/muslin before cutting in to your 'good' fabric.

Suggested Fabric:

This pattern is designed to be sewn with knit fabrics, with either 2-way or 4-way stretch. We suggest cotton jersey, cotton/spandex jersey, cotton interlock, bamboo jersey, merino jersey, merino interlock, cotton/modal jersey

Sizes A-F
• 2.3m/2.6yds (150cm/60” wide)
• 3m/3.3yds (115cm/45” wide View B only)

Sizes G-M
• 3m/3.3yds (150cm/60” wide)
• 3.3m/3.6yds (115cm/45” wide View B only)

If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above.

Ensure your fabric is washed and pre-shrunk before cutting.

Notions:

• Ballpoint or jersey sewing machine needles
• 16” (0.4m) clear elastic stabilizing tape
• Twin needle (optional)
• Matching all purpose thread
