About the Lobethal
Our Lobethal Shirt is a dramatically oversized shirt with a minimalist and architectural look. This easy sew would make a great first-shirt-project with its clean-finished neckline and easy-sew button placket.
The Lobethal includes our signature sleeve bands and it also has generously-sized unflappable pockets!
Fabric for your Lobethal
The Lobethal Shirt is designed for use with a wide variety of light-medium weight woven (non-stretch) fabrics. Make it in a crisp shirting for a dramatic silhouette or select a drapier silk or tencel for the most luxurious experience.
Leila's white Lobethal is a crisp cotton shirting, and her black Lobethal is sandwashed silk from A+R Fabrics in Australia. My brown Lobethal is from tencel and my cobalt blue Lobethal is a herringbone cotton/linen blend.
We suggest light-medium weight linen, cotton lawn, cotton poplin/shirting, and silk noil if you're looking to highlight the structure of the Lobethal and silk satin, sandwashed silk, charmeuse, crepe, crepe de chine, tencel, cupro, viscose, or rayon to enhance the relaxed fanciness.
