Our take on classic pyjamas, the Spinifex PJs have dartless cup-size options, classic details like piping and cuffs. The PJs also have some modern details, a crotch gusset, low-profile pockets and a soft collar with the easiest-ever collar application!

Thanks for your reply. I will definitely seek out wide fabric at least for my first pair. I was dreaming of lawn or batik but they don’t seem to come wide enough. I wonder if that contributes some to the lack of availability of awesome pjs for fat people? I am determined to make these!

Great question! The back piece that would make the smaller width fabric inappropriate, but another thing to keep in mind is that the fabric consumption is based on cutting on the open and everything is packed pretty tightly. If your leg pieces needed to be cut 1 per width, then this would dramatically increase the amount of fabric required for the pattern.

Can you tell me which pieces are too wide for the 45" fabrics in the larger sizes? Do you think there is any opportunity to piece the fabric to make it work?
