The Lobethal Shirt is a dramatically oversized shirt with a minimalist and architectural look. The Lobethal includes our signature sleeve bands and it also has generously-sized unflappable pockets!

The Lobethal Shirt is designed for use with a wide variety of light-medium weight woven (non-stretch) fabrics.

Cotton is a great choice for the Lobethal- it'll be easy to sew with, and the crispness of the fabric will highlight the boxy shape of the shirt!

My pink shirt and Leila's white shirt are both made with cotton, though mine is a washed cotton and Leila's is more crisp.

Leila's black Lobethal (below) is sandwashed silk from A+R Fabrics in Australia and my brown Lobethal is from a light-medium weight tencel.

We love the way these drapey fabrics give the Lobethal an especially luxurious feel!

We suggest light-medium weight linen, cotton lawn, cotton poplin/shirting, and silk noil if you're looking to highlight the structure of the Lobethal and silk satin, sandwashed silk, charmeuse, crepe, crepe de chine, tencel, cupro, viscose, or rayon to enhance the relaxed fanciness.

My cobalt blue Lobethal is a hefty herringbone cotton/linen blend.
