Call for Testers

We're changing up our testing process, as we begin the work to transition to a fully paid tester model by 2021 but also as we enter a particularly busy period of testing and pattern releases.

So we've opened up a call for testers here.

Even if you've tested for us before, we'd love it if you could take the time to send us through your details.

How will our testing process work from now?

We provide a digital copy of a pattern which will fit true to our size chart, and pay a stipend to cover fabric and printing costs (amount depends on garment requirements), which is paid upon completion unless otherwise arranged. Our testing turn-around time is generally two weeks (including two weekends), and if folks aren't able to test that won't affect us asking them in the future. At the end of testing, all our testers get the final copy of the pattern, and info about any changes that we made to the pattern.

We ask our testers to:
Test the pattern 'straight out of the packet' (no adjustments to the pattern without consultation)
Send fit photos of your finished toile (we won't share these online)
Complete our tester feedback form which includes feedback on our instructions

If you would be interested to 'throw your hat in the ring' for future testing rounds,  please complete the tester form here.

  • Hi folks
I’m interested in your patterns but not for me. I’m thinking of sewing for my friend who’s a bit vertically challenged however would possibly fit your patterns. I need to measure her of course! She’s an unbelievable woman who’s raising 2 Wards of the State with extreme dependence on her. Everything she does is for them and I want to give back to her. If there’s a chance I can test some (a) pattern sometime I’d be wrapped. Loved listening to you on Love 2 Sew and love to hear of Aussies doing well especially overseas! Congratulations on your business.
    Kind regards
